How to check a car before buying
Everything is free and on government services — you only need the plate number and documents. Below is the route: where to go and what you will learn there.
- 1
Pledge, seizure and previous owners
On the State Registration Service portal enter the plate number — the service will show vehicle data, any encumbrances, and how many times and when it changed owners.
Enter the plate number without spaces: 01KG555BRQ
- 2
Unpaid fines
Traffic fines by plate number — data comes straight from the state system. If there are fines, agree with the seller who will pay them and when, before the deal.
- 3
Document authenticity
Choose the document type — registration certificate, vehicle passport or technical passport — and enter the series and number. The service will tell you whether the document is valid and protect you from forgery.
- 4
Specifications from the state registry
The "Vehicle information" service on the Tunduk portal: make, model, year, engine volume, fuel, tint permit and special marks. Compare them with the listing.
What cannot be checked online
There is no public check for theft or wanted status in Kyrgyzstan. The state also does not publish accident history or real mileage — these can only be learned through inspection and diagnostics.
What to check at the meeting
- The VIN on the body and under the windshield matches the documents
- The engine number matches the registration papers
- Paint thickness is even — repainting often follows an accident
- Mileage matches the wear of the interior, steering wheel and pedals
- Diagnostics at a service station cost less than repairs after purchase

Transport.kg does not check cars and does not store this information. You run the checks yourself on government services — we only show where they are and are not responsible for their data, accuracy or your deal.
