About Transport.kg

Transport.kg is a marketplace for buying and selling vehicles in Kyrgyzstan: cars, motorcycles, commercial vehicles, car rental and car services in Bishkek, Osh and across the country. Listings are posted by private sellers, car dealerships and dealers. The site is available in Russian, Kyrgyz, English and Chinese, and there are apps for Android and iOS.

Transport.kg in numbers

As of October 2026:

  • over 32,000 car listings;
  • over 400 makes and about 5,000 models in the specifications catalog;
  • about 1,400 model and year combinations with a market price estimate based on listings.

What you can do on the site

  • Find a vehicle. Cars, motorcycles and commercial vehicles with filters by make, model, year, price, mileage, body type, transmission and drive; plus car rental and urgent sales.
  • Sell your car. Post a listing with photos, specifications and a price in soms or US dollars; buyers call you or write in the on-site chat.
  • Check the market price. The price estimate shows what similar cars sell for and gives three prices: for a quick sale, the market price and one with room for bargaining.
  • Research a model. The catalog covers generations, body types, trims, dimensions and engine specifications.
  • Calculate customs duties. The calculator works out the customs fee, the EAEU tariff duty and VAT.
  • Check a car before buying. A guide on checking liens, arrests and previous owners for free on government services, and a VIN decoder.
  • Find a service. Car services: repair, maintenance and tuning.
  • Read up. Owner reviews on ownership and breakdowns, and articles on choosing and buying a car.

How listings are checked

  • Every listing goes through moderation: a check that it is filled in correctly and follows the posting rules (section 4 of the user agreement). Price, phone number, specifications and photos must be accurate, and moderators review every photo. Listings that break the rules are removed or corrected.
  • The number of listings a user can have published at once is limited in each section and depends on the plan: regular account, PRO or BUSINESS.
  • Any listing can be reported from its menu; reports are reviewed by moderators.
  • Listings from dealerships and dealers are marked separately and link to the company page with its address and all its cars for sale.

How the price estimate works

The estimate on the price estimate page is based only on Transport.kg listings, with no expert coefficients or third-party databases:

  1. We take listings of the same model for the selected year and two years either side.
  2. Outliers within each year — cars "for 1 som" and prices with an extra zero — are removed using the interquartile range.
  3. If there are fewer than five listings for the year, neighbouring years are added and adjusted for age. The annual price drop is calculated from the medians of neighbouring years; if data is scarce, 6% per year is used.
  4. The market price is the median of the remaining listings; "most often sold for" is the middle of the sample (25th to 75th percentile).
  5. Adjustments: for mileage relative to what is typical for these cars (from listings, 1% of the price per 10,000 km by default), right-hand drive (−7%), condition (from −4% for minor defects to −35% for a car needing repair) and customs clearance.
  6. The quick-sale price is 8% below market, the price with room for bargaining is 6% above.

The estimate reflects asking prices, not sale prices: cars usually sell for a little less after bargaining. Estimate pages exist only where at least five listings go into the calculation.

For sellers and companies

Posting listings is free within the limit. To reach more buyers there are paid services: VIP, Premium, Urgent, color highlight, pin to top and auto-boost. Frequent sellers can subscribe to PRO, and dealerships to BUSINESS with a company page. Transport.kg is owned by IE Kaiypov A.A. (Kyrgyzstan, Jalal-Abad region, Jalal-Abad, 225zh Pushkin St.) — the seller of the site's paid services; the company details are listed in the user agreement.
